Piper and Duncan

Piper and Duncan
Piper wishes he had a maggot like Duncan, seems like more fun plus if you get hungry you have a handy snack.
I manged to make two little monsters yesterday.
I gotta tell ya, I am having a really hard time getting back into the groove of creating.
Lots of dissatisfaction lately and second guessing. I don't like this, hope this mind set goes away soon, it is really annoying.

it is frustrating. as i sent off my doll for the TDP i kept feeling like she was not "done" enough or "good" enough, but i realized that i am also at a crossroads where SOMETHING is going to change, and i may see some new aspects of creating when the other dolls come my way these next few months.

also for whatever it's worth, i think i am less motivated and somewhat less creative in winter. i kind of feel like i should just eat and sleep. zzzzzzzzzz

It is interesting how many artists and creative folks are feeling this. I myself am as well. It could be winter doldrums or maybe something new pushing it's way up from the depths.

Nicole, I hate it when I go through times like that! All I can say, having experienced quite a few such episodes, is that it does get better. I find too the more I work, the faster the mood leaves.

Looking at Piper and Duncan, you have no reason to feel dissatisfied - they are both wonderful and I love Duncan's maggot. LOL

I'm smiling and then laughing as I look at your monsters! The maggot is like a cherry on the top.

Then I read about your self doubt and second guessing and while I do that to MYSELF all the time, if I was creating awesome work like you do, I'd be dancing and screaming with joy!
Don't worry, you have definitely got IT!

Though we may all have those moments where we feel like our creations aren't "good enough", we also tend to be our own "worst" critics. I think your work is original, fun and just the cutest little monsters I've ever seen. I just love them! The other thing is your style is easily identifiable as yours...a feat many of us are still working on. That said, it must be the winter. Happy Creating :)

Well, doll-ing, you don't seem very uncreative to me! I just loved working on the doll you sent me. I had the most fun. It was so different from anything I would have thought of. I want to do another collaboration with you, just because it was so danged fun! You have the best ideas! How about it? :)
