seems summer is taking over and we are slowing down here at mealy monster land.
I don't know about in your area but here in western NY it has been super rainy and mushy and the snails and slugs are doing a mega number on my flowers.
Have you ever noticed once they put a shell on they are so much cuter. This little guy was doing a number on my hosta. I pulled him off with every intention of throwing him in the street to his certain doom, but then he put his little antenna things out and we all went awwww. how cute. After he was done with his photo shoot I put him over in my goat weed on the side of the house. his life was spared for now.
this is my newest work in progress...we shall see how it goes. I think she needs a hat or something.

I love the snail! We have tons of them in the city garden too--but no shell here..wonder where they pick up the shells at?
I think you should make some kinda snail monster next :) And obviously I like your WIP...awesomely creeeepy!
I am a snail lover. My husband is not. Must be beacuse he is the gardener...
At any rate, he puts them in the street. If they make it out, they get to live. If a car comes by, bye bye snail. *sigh* I think they are adorable. I even wrote a children's book about one...unpublished, but still!
wonder where your NYC snails shells are. I find empty ones in the garden all the time, maybe I should send your slugs some so they can try our being snails. lol
ha, yep Sycamore. I am the gardener and my husband is not, he was playing with the snail and when he and the kids were done he said where should I put her. I said just throw her in the road...the whole family said NO, that's mean. so snaily here was spared.
I am laughing because I would have said the snail should have the same fate as you - roadkill.
But it actaully is cute....
Don't forget, he is not the only one and you most likely will get your wish to have a snail become a road warrior. :)

Snail, slugs and all those wet creatures are all apart of my wonderful wet Pacific NW!!! I hate to tell you that is one reason I have ducks ~ because they become food for ducks and then the ducks have eggs for eating or more ducks : )
