Luke

This past week we had to put our beautiful, awesome, best dog ever, good old gal, Bird dog to sleep. She was a beagle dalmatian mix breed and was our friend and companion for 12 years.
She was a good old gal and had a long and fun life with us. We will miss her terribly.  We knew the time was coming but I thought she had another year or so left in her so we had already planned to adopt a new pup so she could show him the ropes.
Things did not work out as planned but the new puppy was coming anyhow. So here he is!
Our new pup!
He is a treeing walker coonhound that we rescued from a dog pound in Ohio.I think he is going to be a pretty big boy. Right now he is only 4 1/2 months old.
I just want to let all of you know that if you are looking for a dog, his sister is available. This guy is so sweet, we got him from a high kill shelter in Ohio and I would love if someone could give his sister a home too! If you are interested email me and I will put you in contact with the woman who helped in getting Luke to us.

So sorry about your good old dog! Losing a pet is THE WORST! Been there too many times myself! I'm glad you found another loving companion and good for you going to a shelter!

Oh, Nicole, my heart breaks for you! I saw you post this elsewhere but really, it's so gutwrenching to read. We've had to put two down and--gee--you never do get used to it.

Just know that any of these animals living with you absolutely had the best life possible, you are such a cool and caring animal mama and person in general. Hugs to you!
