Creatures from the black tea....

I love going to antique shops. I especially like the pretty little tea cups that they seem to have at every antique shop I go to.
There are so many designs and I have a fondness for them.
For a few years now, every time I see one I think, a monster would go perfect in that cup...so finally, I made what I have been thinking about.
I got the chance to meet up with a good friend of mine, Alison, from Silent Mylo Studios, and we got to do a wee bit of antiquing and it has created a monster. Actually monsters.
Meet the creatures from the black tea.
They will be making their debut at the Mayday Underground arts and craft show this Saturday in Rochester, NY.

first doll for the year!
Today I woke up grumpy. Not sure why, just one of those days. Everything just rubbed me the wrong way. I felt like something was growing inside me, a angry, or ugly gremlin. So...I made a doll of how I was feeling. My fist sculpture for the new year, and guess what, it made me feel better.
Happy 2013!
