I had my final show for the year yesterday and am officially on monster making hiatus.

Lewiston Art Festival

 quick update of what I have been working on over the past few weeks!~  

rotten eggs make great forever friends.

 Monsters have found some new friends. 

Now that all the Christmas candy is no more they have decided to make friends with rotten Easter eggs. The Rotten eggs don't judge the monsters but they smell terrible. It is a win win situation since the monsters also smell terrible and they now can be a lethal odor combination. Almost like a super power. Yay for monsters!

 

I also would like to share our newest family member with you all!!

 Suzie!! 

She is the strangest looking dog I have yet to meet and we are in love!!

She came to us by the way of Akron Canine Rescued Angels.

If you are looking to add a new furry friend to your family check them out. They are great to work with and when you adopt a pet you are saving two lives because the dog you adopt opens up a spot for a new dog to await adoption.

mini shop update

 My show have slowed down for the year. I will only be doing one a month from here on out. So...I can actually keep a few things in my shop now! 

I added a few monsters and pumpkins today. Hope you check them out.

Music is Art,

 one of the most fun shows that I participate in, is September 15th from 10 to 10 and the mealy monsters and I will be there. So come see us and check out all the live bands, artists, food, and fun!

new ideas...

 been trying out some new ideas for the past few days. 

Not sure where I am going with these guys or if I am going to even make anymore.

1. killer fish ornament. hmmmm not sure how I feel about him.

2. ROBOTS...well, well, well. been on my mind for sometime, finally made them real, I think I may make more.

3. Robot birds. kind of reminded me of that movie with the robot bird. the name of it escapes me.

so that is the low down on mealy monster land.

 Happy APRIL!! 

I can not believe how quickly this year already seems to be going by. I have been working on a custom order over the past few days. A very daring family asked that I mealy monster them. I am really happy with the way they turned out and especially love the puppy. Kinda want to keep him.

I have also been very busy planning out my summer show festival schedule, applying and waiting to hear back since January. Hoping to be participating in shows from June until December across western and upstate NY. Just got word on the first one for the summer season. 

The 55th Annual Allentown Art festival  

that will be held June 9th and 10th in Buffalo, Ny. 

I am very excited to take part, this will be my first year participating in this show and it is a pretty big one here in Buffalo. I look forward to the new adventure. 

Speaking of shows. I also will be in Rochester, NY on April 28th for one day only taking part in the Mayday! Underground craft and art show. I hope to see some of my Rochester friends there! Here are some peeks at some of the mealy monsters I will be bringing along with me to the show.

Headhunter is all packed up and on her way to Boston for the Revenge of Freeky Fright Nights show.

I will soon be joining her there and plan on lots of fun in a itty bitty amount of time. 

I will be meeting up with some old friends, going on a ghost walk, and enjoying a weekend away from kids! Has not happened in 9 years. 

Tomorrow night is a fun event that one of my dolls is joining in, the MONSTER show at a local gallery 464 here in Buffalo. I am so hoping I can figure out a way to go, even if it is for 10 minutes as there are some of my favorite local artists work in the show and I really must see it.

I will also have two pieces in the Hell's Commissary Halloween show at Cosmopolitan Art Gallery.

The show is on October 29th at 8pm and will run until November 12th.
