ADO's four Elements Challenge

I have participated in the Art Dolls Only 4 Elements challenge!
the challenge was to make a art doll with one, two, three or all four of the Elements as inspiration, everyone was invited to join in the fun, ado members and non ado members, first time doll makers and experienced doll makers as well.
We had over 90 participants!!
for my elements doll I went with water, inspired by my recent trip to the shore.
this was my first time ever making just a bust, and I have to say I enjoyed it for the instant satisfaction it brought.
I found most of the shells I used with my kids on our morning walks on the beach.
be sure to visit and take a look at all the element inspired dolls that have been created, a list of participants can be found at the
ADO blog.

water
she comes from the Sea
a beauty in not she
but something that draws you near
than leaves you drowning in fear
as you take your last breath and the water blankets you
the cold seeps in and air leaves to.

Fantastic, as usual. I love the way you created the water -- it looks as if she's just emerging from a tidal pool. I'm just glad she's not coming after me! :)

What a cool idea for a bust Nicole~the wavy blue hair and shell almost give her an "alternative Birth of Venus" look ala MML style:)

EUOOOW! Gorgeous and gruesome at the same time. I like the way you used the seashells and bits, and her wispy blue hair. Like the idea of a 'bust'.
